“If up until now you have kept Him at a distance, step forward. He will receive you with open arms." --Pope Francis
With Pope Francis and the whole Church of Washington, the community of St. John the Evangelist parish welcomes you to come and share our life with Christ!
Have you been away from the Church? New to the area? Think you’ve received some of the sacraments as a child, but not even sure? Spiritual, but now interested in exploring an experience that’s more concrete? Ready to become Catholic?
Come and let us share your life and introduce you to the One who sustains our happiness, joy and communion.
Welcome, and please do come and see!
Rev. Joseph Calis, Pastor
“Jesus said to them, ‘Come and have breakfast’.” (Jn 21:12)
Not ready to come to Mass, but would like to meet a few members of the parish community? Join our parish family on the third Sunday of every month for breakfast, "Community Sunday", after the 8AM, 10:30AM and 12PM Masses, or join us for the 2:00PM Mass in Spanish followed by fellowship and hospitality.
Parishioners gather in the Kennedy Room on the lower level of the Main Church after each Mass for refreshment and conversation. You are also invited to attend any of our other community activities, or to pray in Our Lady's Chapel in the lower Main Church.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
